    Team a presumes that cases correlated with variation at different loci

    will reveal phenotypic differences on further investigation ('splitting

    the trait'). The team proposes to refine the diagnostic criteria for the NS,

    and to develop a more fine-grained psychobiological model of temperament and

    character with improved psychometric properties that will lead to advanced

    personality measurement tests. The expectation is that these better-defined

    phenotypes will prove more genetically uniform.
